Interview with Adam
For our cultural interview, we had the opportunity of interviewing Adam, a friend of Josh's. We chose to interview him because his family is originates from Yemen. We asked him eight questions that we felt would produce some interesting responses. His answer are written out below in "quotation marks."

What is the most important meal of the day for you? Why?
“Lunch is the most important meal of the day because it is the most filling and a time to spend with my family.”
Who holds the most “status” in your family? Why?
“My father holds the most status as he is considered the man of the household and the provider for the family.”

What are your eating habits and rituals?
“I usually eat breakfast with my family, lunch after my day, and dinner at night. I drink qishr (coffee) when people are over.”
Is punctuality important to you? Why or why not?
“Punctuality is important but not always successful at being punctual!”

What is a dish that you and your family eat on most special occasions?
“A dish we eat on special occasions is Bint Al-Sahn which is a Yemeni-dessert made of thin dough layers topped with honey and ghee.”
What is considered most disrespectful in your culture?
“Insulting another person’s family, culture, and reputation.”
